Las Cruces Botanical Garden is a mid-elevation site between 1120 to 1385 meters and is located near the Panamanian border and encompasses 235 hectares of rainforest. Here one can look for some special species of birds including Turquoise Cotinga, White-tailed Emerald (a hummingbird), Red-crowned Ant-Tanager, Whistling Wren and in the areas around the preserve one may encounter Spot-crowned Euphonia, Pearl Kite and Pale-breasted Spinetail.
